I create from a place of sensitivity, curiosity and sincerity.

I’m not interested in creating simply for the sake of beauty. I want there to be something underneath it — something that can be felt, remembered or discovered. Whether it lives on someone’s skin, on a wall, a surfboard or on a canvas, my intention remains the same: to give form to what is difficult to put into words, and to create something that feels both deep and real.

More recently, I’ve also been exploring music and DJing. I’m drawn to deep, dark and organic sounds, ethnic rhythms and hypnotic melodies. I’m interested in the way sound can shift a space, create connection and carry people through a journey of their own.

About Me

alex line 1.png

My name is Alex Rosa, and I’m a Portuguese multidisciplinary artist.

I’ve been an artist at heart for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was creative, curious and deeply connected to nature. Creating, imagining and finding visual ways to express what I couldn’t always put into words felt natural to me.

I studied nutrition at University, while spending my free time surfing, travelling and seeking new experiences, different ways of living and a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me. It was through those experiences that I began to understand more clearly who I was and what I was being called to do with my life. Eventually, I found the courage to listen to that calling and dedicate myself fully to art.

At the heart of my work is a search for meaning and connection. I’m interested in what exists beneath the surface — feelings, memories and experiences that shape who we are. I work intuitively, letting the process unfold and guide what takes form. Whether I’m working with a person, a space or a shared experience, I see them as an active part of my creative process. Their presence and energy influence my work as much as my own creative input.

My greatest sources of inspiration are nature, ancestry, the mystery of distant and ancient realms, the cosmos and, symbolically, spirituality. These elements constantly feed my imagination and shape the way I see and create. I also trust my intuition deeply. There are many things in my life and creative process that I cannot fully explain rationally, and I’ve learned to leave space for the unknown and allow it to guide me.
